Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 70%Sativa 30%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Ouzbekistan
This Uzbek variety Pink Malabar is a 12th generation landrace from Underground Seeds Collective, producing an Indica-dominant line characterised by a fruity, sweet aroma with some phenotypes showing a pronounced Bubblegum flavour. This variety finishes flowering in 9 weeks, reaching a medium size and can tripe or even cuadruple its size during the stretch period at the start of bloom, leading to a heavy yield at harvest time. Plants readily take on dark purple colours at the end of flowering, and its fleshy buds give off a fruity aroma, ranging from blueberry to candy on a sweet Bubble Gum background. Its abundant resin production and complex, terpene profile make Uzbekistan/Pink Malabar an ideal candidate for making full-flavoured cannabis concentrates. The effect is typically Indica, heavy, relaxing and soothing without being incapacitating. Ideal for relaxing during the day or in the evening.
