Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Palm Siberia

A piece of our Space Race Lineup in collaboration with Cutthroat Cultivars! Rabbit Hole by Cutthroat was chosen as the pollen donor for this line up thanks to its obscene frost, great yield and beautiful structure. From the Sugar Beach Sour female: Expect a sour citrus smell, a medium/tall plant yielding extremely well. Likely to find a mix of indica and sativa leaning offspring, but we anticipate all being under 70 days. Oddly similar to our Golden Poppy keeper from Exotic Genetics used in the same drop (a little more citrus & taller). Absolutely kills it outdoor
