Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Terpene profile most dominant first
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Panama Punch
The Panama Punch has an intense tropical aroma, and the requisite spiciness of a haze. The taste is just as mouthwatering as the smell, a mixture of mango and black pepper that leaves a sweet twinge on your lips upon exhale.
Yield: high
400-800g / 1000W
Flowering time:
60-65 days.
Growth stature: Tall The Panama Punch stretches more than most strains once flowering is induced due to her haze lineage. Grower’s with height restrictions should definitely top her, and potentially train branches laterally as she really likes to reach for the sky. Be sure to underprune heavily as she doesn’t produce well below the canopy. Larger than average internodal spacing. Nugget type and density:
Long dense nuggets.
Unique strain traits and oddities of mother:
The aroma is so amazing that we regularly find our growers pausing to take a few deep breathes whilst watering them
Dark reddish purple stems are common. Don’t worry if you see darker stems with this strain, it is a genetic trait and not a deficiency or disease
