When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The result is a 70% sativa that captures the legacy of its legendary genetics while adding something new to create a truly unique blend. Piña Colada is an indica-dominant hybrid which adds tropical flavours and a mild sedative effect to Jack Herer’s more classically sativa profile.
Unlike the more well-balanced Jack Herer, Pineapple Jack Feminized is undeniably a sativa-dominant hybrid with a tall, lanky structure, and somewhat stringy buds. However, these flowers are incredibly dense and this strain is capable of producing XL yields for growers with the headroom to fit these tall plants.
