Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Ponzu

The Ponzu was made to be a good yielding plant with an exotic terpene profile. Lots of mouthwatering citrus with an added musk from the Narcoberry. Lots of shimmering resin on long, spear shaped colas. This is the sister plant to the Plush Dream, and shows more of a hybrid structure with large, long leaves and thick stems. Sativa/Indica polyhybrid 60-70 days
