Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Power Widow
Power Widow is a cross between Power Plant and White Widow. Two much sought after strains, by both growers and connoisseurs. It is not surprising that they can be found on the menu of many Dutch coffee shops. The main reason for Power Plant's success lies in its potential of producing very large yields after 8-9 weeks of flowering. In addition, it is an easy to grow plant. The sweet, piney aroma of Power Plant combined with the heavy hitting White Widow buzz makes this an instant classic. Power Widow is easy to clone, and performs well both indoor and outdoor. Topping does not give any problems, and will result in wide, bushy plants. When cultivated outdoors, Power Widow can grow very tall, producing spectacular yields. Type: 60% Sativa - 40% Indica
THC: 17%
Effect: Intense, cerebral high
Flowering time indoor: 60-65 days
Flowering time outdoor: Ready for harvest mid October
Yield: Up to 600 grams per square metre
