Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Premium Diesel
Premium Diesel originates from Chemdawg from Colorado, of which its origins are a mystery. Its name has been changed to Diesel by two growers from New York, but the original genetics were preserved. It owes its name to the plant’s diesel-like scent when it starts blooming. Diesel is a very strong plant, maybe one of the strongest in the world, which, unsurprisingly, makes it a favourite to many growers. Premium Diesel originates from Chemdawg from Colorado. Its name has been changed to Diesel by two growers from New York, but the original genetics were preserved. It owes its name to the plant’s diesel-like scent when it starts blooming. Premium Diesel is 70% Sativa and 30% Indica. Premium Diesel is an easy plant which, like all of our seeds, can be grown indoors and outdoors. Premium Diesel can get pretty big, especially when it’s grown outside. When you grow this plant as an experienced grower, it’s best to grow it on Hydro (=water). Compared to other Sativa plants Premium Diesel has a nice and high yield. If you prune this plant well, the harvest will be above expectations. Premium Diesel is a unique plant that you should definitely try. The recognisable scent and flavour are str
