Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.

Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Professor Chaos

Need to deal with constant pain but still have the energy to get things done? PROFESSOR CHAOS can teach you a thing or two about that! We've combined the considerable painkilling effect of our award-winning MAD SCIENTIST (back-to-back 1st Place Overall in the 2011 and 2012 Oregon Medical Cannabis Awards) with the get-up-and-go of JACK THE RIPPER for a Sativa dominant strain that can completely take care of your pain but leave you feeling energized instead of ready for the couch. PROFESSOR CHAOS can do plenty to help you feel like you're getting back the energy that chronic pain saps right out of you. But make a list before you use all that extra energy—we all know that professors can be a bit absent-minded, and you don't want to waste your pain-free time starting a bunch of different jobs rather than doing the one thing you absolutely meant to get finished. Phenotypes: There are four different phenotypes, two tall and two short. All phenos have triangular, heavily knuckled finger-shaped buds with swollen calyxes and a sour, funky haze aroma. Height: Medium Yield: Average to heavy Recommended Growing Location: Indoor Best Way to Grow: Top out into a 30 inch round bush early. Harvest
