When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). Purple Rose is the combination of a circa 96 in-cross of original Flo, the mother chosen was a 9 foot monster with red to purple stems, purple, blue, golden orange and purple flowers lightly encrusted with resins. The father was an equally large dude that reached around 11 feet tall that comprised of Acapulco Gold x C99 genetics, the male leaning more toward the Acapulco Gold side.
