Type I
THC-dominant
Terpene profile most dominant first
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Purple Sunset
Purple Sunset is a cross between Purple Punch and Sunset Sherbert. It is an easy to grow Indica dominant hybrid that will delight the grower with a high quality harvest, regardless of the experience level. Purple Sunset, Indica variety with gourmet aroma
Purple Sunset produces well branched plants that adapt well to any cultivation type. It matures in 9 to 10 weeks of flowering, a stage where buds will be increasingly denser and will be covered with resin. At the same time the whole plant will acquire purple colour tones. Purple Sunset produces a generous harvest of fleshy, resin coated flowers with a powerful and exotic aroma, a terpene profile that combines floral and fruity notes on a sweet background. It has a relaxing and calming effect without being devastating, favouring good humour and a great laugh with friends. Dank Genetics Purple Sunset info:
