Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). Red Cross CBD is the encounter between Medical CBD and Lambada CBD, a mostly Indica genetics with an 80% dominance versus a 20% Sativa content. It has a very compact structure typical of Indica strains, acquiring a solid shrub-like shape with little growth. In outdoor cultivation, it rarely exceeds 150cm depending on the space available, techniques applied and growing conditions. Red Cross CBD offers high cannabinoid levels rich in CBD and a fast flowering period. Outdoors it requires only 8 weeks of flowering to ripe, with a yield of up to 400g per m2 of CBD-rich, resinous buds.
