Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Rotten Apple Triploid
Rotten Apple is the first triploid strain by breeder ApeOrigin - with an incredibly great growth and a lot of power, it is probably one of the highest quality strains in the entire range. This cross between Lemon Buttercream and Jet A is very easy to grow, it remains quite short but grows very fat in width and is ideal for indoor cultivation, for the balcony or for the patio.
Rotten Apple is a very sticky cannabis strain with a great and unique flavour, reminiscent of a mixture of overripe apples with sweet baked caramel. Many growers also think it tastes like sweet cider or apple cider. Rotten Apple is also ideal for extractions and concentrates and is also very suitable for inexperienced growers.
By the way: the triploid F1 process increases the biomass and potency and ensures that you get more of the very special quality effects...
Lineage: Lemon Buttercream x Jet A Genetics: Indica / Sativa Flowering Time: 8 - 9 weeks Smell: overripe apples, sweet, freshly baked caramel, cider THC: 30%
