Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Salmonberry

Our Shishkaberry mom comes from Cash Crop Kens seeds. We selected a very Afghani structured lady with a very stout frame. Shishkaberry has a short 8-9wk flowering time and will develop reds and purple hues with any temperature drops. Our goal with Salmonberry is to increase trichome production while retaining the very strong strawberry, raspberry and blueberry terpene profiles. Genetics: Shishkaberry x Mt. Rainier Indica/Sativa Hybrid Average Flower time: 8-9 weeks Average Yield: Medium
