Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Salsa

Salsa is from Prairie State Genetix and is a clone only 5050 hybrid cross of God Bud x 1980's Mexican Red Hair. Salsa is a very easy plant to grow and is done inside 10 weeks. Offered originally as an Illinois clone only Salsa has now travelled around the United States. Salsa was the first clone offered by the PSGx Clone Club. The Mexican Red Hair used was from vintage seed. Got it name for the smells of legit salsa in veg stage and then Lemon Skunk gas in flower. Bred by Justin Lehmann owner of PSGx. Beautiful dark and lime green with purple and orange hues. Cures up beautifully
