About this release
Genetics: High Life (OGS) x Early Wonder Skunk Indica/Sativa: 50/50 Indoor/Outdoor Flowering: 50-60 days Outdoor: on or before end Sept. Height: med-medium tall Yield: above average, 500-750 grams Santiam Skunk's mother, the High Life, is a sativa/indica hybrid that produces strong, robust plants with a sativa-leaning effect. Only problem is High Life doesn't quite finish by the end of September outdoors up here in northern Oregon. So in 2013, I decided to dig out a very old, nearly extinct northern outdoor variety from the seed vault — an early Skunk variety — and used it to dust the High Life with pollen.
Goal was to shorten the flowering period without stepping all over the qualities of the mother.
Mission accomplished.
Santiam Skunk's growth structure leans towards the High Life (larger, branchier, heavier yield) but with at least 7-10 days shaved off the flowering period (finishing on or before end Sept) thanks to the Early Wonder Skunk. Potency with some specimens is stronger than either parent, and all plants exhibit added flavor.
