Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

Sherkle came about from an open pollination Sherbet Smoothie breed. Using a Sherbet Smoothie male （Sunset Sherbet x Faygo Red Pop from Savant Seeds, this male showed a tint of purple later in his flowering phase. Nice early onset for flowering. Can Expecting late September early October harvests for most crosses in this breed. A very desirable trait for guerilla growers.
