We’ve been working on this for a few years now, and are really happy with the results so far. The project was the original inspiration for the Colombian Gold Legacy Edition. We started with the CGLE, and at the same time, we also went hunting for a quality ‘Mazar’ Afghan partner. We selected a solid girl from a bunch of Ortega seeds I’d given to @fygtree to repopulate. We’re grew out a bunch of the offspring and selected one girl and hit her with Mountain Organics Acapulco Gold BC1 male pollen. And these plants you see before are the F1 offspring of that work. The structure of most all the pheno’s we grew out, were very much influenced by the Ortega mother. These plants remained very squat in appearance, with minimal stretch during flower. From there they bulk up massively and ooze with resin. No purple on any of these girls, all stayed light green. The aroma’s these plants are putting out go rotten fruit / funk, lemon Pledge / funk, sweet / acidic. This ’tart’ concoction lingers on the nostrils, and really feels like it’s going in the right direction. The Ortega had a lot of muskiness to her, so we’re hoping to find some more like her as well.
