Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About SoDoSoPa
The first in our South Park tribute line in honor of our fellow natives Trey Parker and Matt Stone as well as their important contributions to our childhood and the adults we have grown to be. A beautiful in-house cross, covered in crystals, very purple in color and smelling of earth, grape and flowers. The high is described as relaxed and strong, settling in the front of the head.
