Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About South Fork Kush
With a mom like SFV OG Kush, it’s hard not to be popular. The South Fork Kush brings that recognizable strain from San Fernando Valley together with our Chemdawg bc3, a stable and proven male that we have worked with for years from our library. South Fork Kush is excellent for indoor scenes as well as light dep greenhouse setups. All our favorite OG Kush elements are dominant in this strain. The Chemdawg bc3 has brought its its tighter structure to the table in all but the most super-dominant OG individuals. The plants tend to be stockier in this crossing, so it can be more suitable for farmers who have space limitations. Flavor profiles expressed by South Fork Kush range from being diesel dominated to having that classic OG Kush taste, both of which are popular in the marketplace. This crossing with our stable Chemdawg male has done the plant well, as the healthy growth and average yield have improved over what the mom could accomplish. Farmers also appreciate that this strain clones easily and that it is not prone to mold.
