Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). As exotic as they come, the squirt was identified during our 10k plant Phenotype Mega Hunt. Labeled BBMxTang #118, we referenced back to our genetic preservation library and got to work breeding. Three generations later, this Bx3 will consistently squirt mono and sesquiterpenes that last longer than many others. Expect variation in the anthocyanins level but consistency in chemotype, flavor, and nose.
