Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). Hicimos durante tres años diferentes pruebas, cruzando los dos esquejes diferentes de S.B.S.P（ S.B.S.P I y S.B.S.P II）, ambos ganadores calificados, uno de la Copa Del Plata 2014, el otro de dos podios en la Copa Uruguay 2015 y 2016. Además utilizamos separadamente a dos increíbles plantas de semilla Starbud y Sour Power respectivamente, las 4 genéticas involucradas todas provenientes de Hortilab. Encontramos que la mejor combinación posible resultó entre la S.B.S.P I y la Sour Power, dándole un plus más Sour a la impresionante S.B.S.P I. Sour Power no es ni más ni menos que Starbud x NY Diesel, de esta forma conseguimos agregarle más Sour Diesel al cruce. STAR POWER es una campeona renovada, con los mismos rasgos dominantes favorables y un pequeño touch más sativo, aunque sigue siendo netamente una indica, pero agrega algo más de altura y tamaño general que la S.B.S.P, un aroma y sabor más ahumado y ácido, cogollos similares en forma de
