Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 50%Sativa 50%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About StarBud Sister
As the name suggests, StarBud Sister is a direct sister of Hortilab's flagship Indica, StarBud. Produced in the Mid-West United States, this Indica-dominant hybrid grows short and dense, producing chunky, resinous buds with a smooth, kushy aroma. StarBud Sister is relatively simple to grow in a legal climate - the plants are hardy and vigorous with a 60 day flowering time. Huge harvests of award winning quality are possible within 9-10 weeks. This potent strain of cannabis is ideal for medicinal users as the effects include stimulation of appetite, pain relief, relief of anxiety/depression and a deep relaxing feeling which aids sleep. The genetics of this premium strain from HortiLab can now be preserved for future generations with these superb feminized, souvenir marijuana seeds. 3rd Place IC Mag 420 Cup 2012
