Terpene profile most dominant first
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Strawberry Daiquiri
Strawberry Daiquiri is a new and exciting 70% Sativa hybrid born from a collaboration between TGA Subcool and Kyle Kushman, a Californian grower famous for his Strawberry Cough, a clone with an intensely fruity strawberry aroma. Strawberry Daiquiri is a combination of two Sativa-dominant varieties, Jack the Ripper from TGA on one side, and Strawberry Cough on the other. The result is vigorous, fast-growing plants that react well to apical pruning (pinching out the tops) making an even canopy highly recommended for SCROG (Screen of Green) cultivation. We can expect to find two main phenotypes, with a JTR-dominant pheno showing strong branches, very resinous buds with a cherry flavour, and an intensely flavoured strawberry phenotype with less developed branches. Strawberry Daiquiri needs around 60 to 70 days of 12/12 to finish flowering indoors, forming large flowers with few leaves, making this a very easy variety to manicure at harvest time. Its aroma combines notes of strawberry, cherry and chocolate on an acidic background, while its energetic, positive effect can prove highly effective for users battling against anxiety and depression.
