Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica 100%
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Strong Helmand
Helmand is a pure indica with a very sweet, kushy yet earthy flavour and a hint of liquorice and pine. This strain comes from the Helmand province in the south of Afghanistan, which is the largest province in the country. Due to the hot and dry summer, this strong indica does not need a lot of water, making it ideal for dry and hot environments. Helmand is ideal for growing in greenhouses, on terraces, on balconies and also in indoor gardens. It is easy to grow and therefore also very suitable for inexperienced gardeners
