Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 70%Sativa 30%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Sugar Babe

This variety is a true beauty, powerful as an Indica plant can be with compact full buds. She truly looks as "sugar frosted" as the Alpine mountaintops where she originated. Like many Afghan-influenced strains, Sugar Babe adapts well to most outdoor areas, finishing by October in Northern Europe. The best outdoor yields, however, are found closer to the equator, between 40° and 15° Northern and Southern latitudes. Sugar Babe also flourishes well outdoors in Mediterranean climates like California and Australia. When cultivated inside, Sugar Babe ripens over a flowering cycle of 9-10 weeks. The smoke is very distinctive and fresh, a bit lemon like with a clean metal taste to it. Although Indica dominates her genes, this varietys stone is energetic and uplifting. It encourages activities, and is especially great for any recreations in the great outdoors. Genetics: Afghan Influenced Harvest Date: October Flowering Period: 9-10 weeks THC Content: 16-20% Characteristics: Distinctive citrous taste
