Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Sugarbush

American Grown’s Sugar Shack solventless hash dumper crossed to the award winning GLZ lineage. This collaboration will result in some spectacular phenotypes for solventless production. The sugar shack has almost no nose to it so it was used as the chassis for creating a commercial workhorse of z hash strain. Look for the large trichomes and the distinctive Zkittles nose.
