Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). About Tang OG
Tang OG is a hybrid of Dayglow by Threes Genetics Reserve and Sour Tangie by DNA Genetics. This is an effort to retain the resin structure of the Dayglow and improve the yield with the increased bud size of the Sour Tangie. The aromatic profiles are near identical, with some unique pinene content on the Dayglow. The resulting hybrid offers a commercial 7-9 week schedule depending on if you are harvesting for fresh frozen or dry flower with a ever-so slightly musky, pungent orange pine flavor
