Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). One pheno is larger and forms more nodes with very small internodal spaces, while the second pheno is similar in height but has large internodal spaces and produces much less; however, this is the "purple" pheno, which is definitely preferable if you value quality
