Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.

Flowering type

Autoflowering This is an autoflowering cultivar — a genuine ruderalis-derived genetic trait (it flowers by age, not light cycle). That’s a real, heritable distinction, unlike the indica/sativa label above.

About Terpentine

This strain began as another project. When the photoperiod plant turned out to not be what was advertised I decided to go in another direction with the plan. I cloned the photo before flowering and then flipped it to see how it developed. It turned out to have a heavy almost overwhelming pinene terp profile. I decided to go ahead and pollinate a Witch Doctor auto from Magic Strains with one of the males I had kept in veg until a spot opened in the cycle. It took 5 years to move this project forward, focusing each filial towards the pinene rich terp profile which resulted in a fine feminized autoflower that reeks of pine tree car freshener. Some phenos have a fake Christmas tree spray smell profile. All have been heavy in alpha pinene terp profile. Plants get large. The larger the container the larger the plant. Plan space accordingly. This plant is the perfect companion plant to add to other strains to enhance the effects of other terpene heavy strains. Try the benefits of alpha pinene with this amazing autoflower.
