Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 30%Sativa 70%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Ultraviolet Haze

One of our all time favorites Purple Kush crossed with our favorite base strains Original haze by Flying Dutchman. The Purple Kush brings so much to the table but also has so much baggage to battle, slow growth in veg and flower, budrot, low volume result, and super tricky to work with. The haze helped in every way, the growth rate increased to upto 200% after flower and the budrot issues were taken off the load. The Purple Kush did transfer the purple flavor everyone loves with very little spice added from the haze as well as purple leaves and some tones reaching onto the flower. This is one of our top 3 plants to grow and for end result. A absolute critic showstopper. We haven't had one person not fall in love with this cultivar. This strain harvests outdoor around mid to late November and indoors 65-74 days, some can take longer. We flower at 10-12" with a 200% growth rate. When its at 2 weeks flower drop the nitrogen to slow vertical growth. Easy to grow but needs experienced care to reach genetic potential. Hotter environment coupled with a good NPK program can get massive results out of this plant. Bat colas are common with little profile so topping is not suggested. Most str
