Chemotype genetics-true
Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Vitamin Z
Vitamin Z by Grounded Genetics is part of the Z Road line breeding project. With the Z Road line, Grounded aims to create Zkittlez dominant feminized hybrids and unique terpene profiles based on the extremely fruity Zkittlez genetics. Vitamin Z is a cross of Zunami#13 (Zkittlez X (Gelato 41 X Sherb Bx1)) and feminized male Z Road pollen (Zkittlez X Off Road). Zunami#13 is a specially bred but unreleased variety by Grounded Genetics. He chose this exact phenotype as the parent because Zunami#13 retains the phenomenal terpene profile of the original Zkittlez cut while exhibiting enhanced growth with faster rooting and high tolerance to over-fertilization. Pollinating Zunami#13 with Z Road pollen, produced offspring that are both more productive and less sensitive overall than Zkittlez. This creates the fantastic hybrid Vitamin Z strain, with 50% indica and 50% sativa genetics. Taste and effect
While Vitamin Z has improved growing characteristics over Zkittlez and is especially more forgiving of growing mistakes, her legendary fruity "rainbow candy" flavor is still present in the weed. Her exceptional flavor profile is composed of tropical fruity candy flavors and heavy gassy aromas.
