Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Voyager

Exotic cannabis cultivars that have travelled from the far corners of the earth come together in a hybrid that will enrapture the senses and set minds adrift. The powerful genotypes behind Voyager are rarely if ever seen in today’s hybrids. The Sativas – New Guinea Gold from the highlands of Papua and a striking South American descended from Colombian Red – are balanced and stabilised by a sturdy Afghani from northernmost part of the Hindu Kush – so far north that the breeder prefers to call her a Tajik Indica. Growers should expect wide and favourable variation among their ladies, with some incredible spiralling Sativa phenotypes showing up regularly. All plants produce amazing trichome-crusted buds with delicious spicy-sharp-sweet flavours. Flowering: 55 - 70 days Yield: 130 g Height: 110 - 170 cm
