Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 100%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Woody's GDP

Woody's Grand Daddy Purple is a strain that was developed in Northern California as a commercialized version of the Purple Eurkle that increased volume of the plant. It stays short and stalky and it is recommended to not top the plant to maximize yield unless it is grown outdoors. It is perfect for sea of green but also works well in soil and other mediums. The original seeds were acquired from a farmer named Woody who resides in Grass Valley, California. Strain Type: Indica Genetics: Purple Urkle x Big Bud Height: Medium Flowering Time: Medium THC Content: High
