Chemotype
Type I
THC-dominant
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the lab-verifiable signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). Cannabinoid type is set largely by a single gene (the THC:CBD ratio); about 96% of commercial flower is Type I, THC-dominant. Terpene profiles are sourced from Certificates of Analysis (COA) and roll out as Areto’s lab-verified data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Yumbolt
First Prize Winner High Times Cannabis Cup 2001, Category: Seeds, Indica Yumbolt brings back that old-fashioned flavor from the fabled hills of Humboldt Co. California. Possessing a sedative stone with an outdoor aroma, she will often induce heavy eyelids with a satisfying smile. From the first toke till the last the taste remains. A producer of large succulent flowers, this girl will qualify for every grower`s wants and desires. Cannabis connoisseurs cannot resist her hypnotizing powers. She is believed to have originated from Himalayans of Afghanistan and climatized in the mountains of Humbolt County California in the late 70`s. Several generations later in the early 90`s we were blessed with the seeds and then propagated them in Holland. Sagarmatha entered her in a Cannabis Cup and received an honorable mention. An outdoor sample from a customer in 2001 had similar charachteristics as the samples smoked in Humbolt in the early 80`s. These nugs often resemble dense, slightly golden frosted pinecones. Another amazing feature is the formation of tunnels of trychromes secreted on the tiny leaves that have curled in on themselves surrounding the tops. Yumbolt will bring you high up i
