Terpene profile most dominant first
Chemotype — the cannabinoid and terpene profile — is the signal that stays true to a cultivar’s genetics, which is why scientists classify cannabis by chemical profile (a “chemovar”) rather than by name (Hazekamp & Fischedick 2012). The dominant terpenes below are aggregated from community and lab reporting; aroma and effect associations are preliminary and not medical claims. Lab-verified COA profiles roll out as Areto’s data comes online.
Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide
Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Emerald OG
We have been running / developing the Emerald OG for about 5 years now. 3 years ago we let a few clones go in the Humboldt and Mendo areas to local friends and growers. Right now we have regulars in F6 aswell as a new feminized line out in S1 form. The original cross that was made is (Fire OG x Emerald Diesel) x Fire OG.
We were lucky enough to get a carefully selected male of the Fire OG from Dr. Frost back in 06.
We have used this strain for a few collaborations with other companies and seedbanks, but never released it on its own, until now. Check the Limited Edition section of the site for exclusive packs of the Emerald OG. It is also possible to find our Emerald OG flowers in Humboldt, Mendocino, Trinity, Lake, San Fransisco, Los Angeles, Orange and San Diego counties local dispensaries.
Hope you enjoy it as i know we do!! Its a constant runner in our rooms and most likely one of our favorite to smoke!! Indica / Sativa – 80/20
Harvest – 8 to 9 weeks / End Oct.
Stature – Tall / Stout
