Indica / Sativa — retail shopping guide

Indica 50%Sativa 50%

Indica, sativa and hybrid are a retail shopping convention — not a reliable guide to genetics or effects. When researchers analysed 89,923 commercial samples across six states, these labels did not predict a plant’s terpene or cannabinoid profile, and a genome-wide study found sativa- and indica-labelled plants to be genetically indistinct (PLOS ONE 2022; Nature Plants 2021). The labels are so fluid that AK-47, a hybrid, won “Best Sativa” at the 1999 Cannabis Cup and “Best Indica” four years later. For an accurate, genetics-true picture, see the chemotype above.

About Purple Paya

Purple Paya is a vigorous hybrid that will grow very large given the right conditions. The hybrid vigor is quite prominent and will produce copious amounts of sticky flowers. Numerous sturdy branches and bud sites make for a great harvest. Red stems are quite common in this line and are very dark at times. The fluffy yet full buds tend to turn beautiful shades of red and purple in the later stages. The buds also look very shiny with a thick coating of trichomes. Most show a good resistance to mold. Grown in the PNW, it is resistant to botrytis and pests. The aromas range from lemon lime to pungent fruit and can be quite stinky. It smokes very smooth with a nice coating of citrus on the pallet. The effects are soring and meditative, relaxing yet the mind is in full gear. Great for most activities. Likely containes a high amount of CBD
